New Members/Spam

I joined yesterday. I'm in a flare, doing some reading I found to be inspirational. I'm still learning how to move around in this site, not everyone is as computer savvy as everyone else. I'm not sure there is a ton of stuff about me on here yet. It would be very sad to "get rid of" someone sick and desperately needing information. Especially someone new to lupus. I've had it many years but certainly do not feel welcome here now.

Suezetta, I'm sorry that you feel unwelcome here at lupus connect. I wanted to introduce myself, I'm Christy and I'm glad that you are here. I know that some people have had issues with spammers and I certainly hope that new members haven't been been mistakenly identified in the process to eliminate those spammers. Anyway, please give the lupus connect community a chance. You will find the members compassionate and understanding. It's a great place to learn, identify with others and get needed support. I look forward to getting to know you better. I'm going to send you a friend request and anytime you need to talk, I'm here my friend :)

What was the user name of some of the members you are reffering to? I have cleaned up some of them, but I want to make sure I get them all.

Hey I just read this, I am a member on the diabetes connect as well and some hackers or some one got in their and began to swear at others, cause fights etc. any one you feel are not right for here or seem off, click on the red flag, on the right next to track and contact CA it was taken care of quickly, on the other site,
I had notice on that site, they had all signed up the same day..so go now red flag them, every time they write. if they are real they will prove it and all our info is safe. I am here to learn, teach if I can and build strong supportive friend ships..I am sure the site will handle it ASAP..good luck, thanks for bring it up, so we can keep a look out.

I haven't had any problems,,,,But i have what you are talking about jcandies and I do hope they can get that cleared up!! Why don't you bring that up to one of the CA's (community advocites). That is one reason that they are here. I am sure that they do not want anything like that to happen!!

Interesting. I have had 2 people request to be friends, but they don't seem real. No info about them…
